I was commissioned to create this film by Sara Colman and Rebecca Nash to accompany a song that they had written about my fascination with the aurora borealis. Sara, my partner Tom Lyne and I were lucky enough to have an extraordinary aurora sighting in Northumberland in May 2024 – as did most of the UK and Europe – so these photographs are from that sighting apart from the one with me watching an aurora, which was my first ever sighting – in Lochinver in the north of Scotland in 2023.
